Half Nekkid Thursday

I have a Morton toe... the second toe sticks out. I'm pretty sure it's a sign of intelligence. :)

I ear you... Happy HNT!

My girls dared me to get my ear pierced and bought me a gift certificate for a piercing several Christmas's ago... The gold hoop came from Santa Claus last Christmas. Happy HNT!

Kincolith

I traveled up to Kincolith last week to assist the Village government with some projects. This First Nation's village is north of Prince Rupert at the mouth of the Nass River, close to the bottom of the Alaskan panhandle. About 450 aboriginals live here. It was beautiful! The people were friendly and the scenery breath-taking. This it the front of their newly completed longhouse.

Here's shot of the interior of the longhouse. They have a village band and also dancers who practice and perform here.

The Anglican church is 100 years old and recently had some work done to it for the celebrations. I'm going back! They have only had a road in for 2 years. The drive in is along a river and through lava fields, where a relatively recent lava flow occurred.

It was magic!

Dogs and Cats Sleeping Together!

Whenever I see Bonnie our dog and Carlo our cat sleeping together, I always think of Bill Murray talking about the end of the world in Ghostbusters. These two are buddies; they play together and sleep together. The other day, Bonnie came in with snow on her face and Carlo proceeded to lick it off for her. When they play-fight, any guests we have are appalled at how they yelp and meow. Bonnie will egg Carlo on until Carlo grab's her back leg and gets dragged around the floor. When Carlo tires of the fight, Bonnie just starts chasing her own tail. I never said they were the smartest animals in the kingdom.
